Though I should share this;

(part two is to the right)

I found this helpful when searching around on how to clean and detail the car properly.
When we have such nice cars, we need to take care of them^^

What this video does not remind you to clean though, is inside all the doors and the small spots when you for example open the hatch. ( I mean.. You have paint the needs to be taken care of there too!)

It does not show how to wash your engine bay either.

I don't know how much people here know/ care about this, but I think the video was great.

I may make a video in the summer with all of which I just listed

I have a sort of " Full car care" list that I like to follow, here it goes;

Washing engine bay;
*Cover all electronics with plastic bags
*Spray on dirt remover, make and type not that important
*Leave on for 1-2min, at least
*Hose off, but be careful.

Basic steps when washing the car;
*Use the two-bucket-system ( Buy this if you want)
*Start by giving the car a good shower with the hose, preferably with soap too. BUT DON'T USE ANYTHING TO RUB ON IT, YET! This will simply rub all the dirt on the paint in to it.
*Now, this should have removed approx 80% off all the dirt. Go on washing with a wash mitt now
*Clean your rims
*Clean windows with glass cleaner, inside and outside. Watch up if you have tinted ones, ammonia cleaners will destroy your tint film.
*Wax windows so they become rain-resistant Ps: Only needed to be done every 30 day or so. I recommend using Rain-x Rain repellent. Just some quids on Ebay, great results!
*In between waxing and polishing you may use "Quick detail" spray.
*Clay ( Not always, but often)
*Polish ( Not always)
*Wax ( Not always)

The rest;
Vacuum clean
Wash/ dust all small spots in the dash, cup holders etc..
Polish exhaust, if chrome.
Use a small duster or even painting brush to get the dust out of your air vents

Hope this helps. Feel free to add anything/ correct me.

I actually did this today, I'll take some snaps of my GTi tomorrow if the sun is up, so you can see the results. Looks SO smooth. ( I recommend using AutoGlym's products)

( PS: I posted this at another VW forum and they thought it was helpful, so thought I should share it here to. )

I made this guide AGESSS ago:

It's outdated but has basics procedures and principles in there. On a quick glance, I use a proper snow lance instead of that hose thing first mentioned.
