Just fitted a new HID Canbus 35w kit from HID Direct to my Polo 6R 1.4 SEL, i keep on getting flickering with the lights? when turn to dipped beam the lights do not turn on, but i when turn main beam before starting the car it works fine. :?

Has anyone come across this problem with their polo?

Sorry no experience with HID's, you could try searching on other forums?

They are polarised bulbs and only work correctly one way. Maybe try refitting them the other way round.

just been told that i would need, UNIVERSAL 12v BATTERY RELAY HARNESS FOR HID KITS

HID battery wiring harness is an optional piece of kit that powers the HID kit directly from the battery rather than the cars electrical system.
Using one relay harness for each HID kit, it is compatible with virtually all HID kits.

The wiring loom simply connects to the battery and then into the HID ballasts.

Hopefully this will work and sort my problem out

My kit is from HIDs4U and i have had no problems at all. It is twice the price but i suppose you get what you pay for at the end of the day.

Posted this in another thread

The new polo that I have (2010) uses a special H4 bulb that is used for normal and high beam

It's also a low power output bulb due to the day time running lights

So the H7 won't fit and if it did you would loose your full beam function

All the HID sellers list our cars as H7 for some reason

there is a metal clip that clips inbetween your standard bulb and the wiring harness, you snipp that with some wire cutters and put ur hid harness inside it, i have to fit some soon so i will take a pic for you. if you want me 2 do a full how to please let me know.
