Any do's and donts?

Also anyone know where to get Black Monza alloys instead of the silver? i'm thinking of getting them black, if not anyone know how much it's cost to get them done black?

Cheers!

WOW.

18 and a GTI !!! Don't often here that in the same sentence, Insurance must be scary.

DO:
Smile when you drive it
Drive safely
Remap it

DONT:
Drive like a loon
Ever visit Halfrauds
Join a forum (Unless you have deep pockets !!)
Chew with your mouth open

Other than that. Just have fun.

Another DON'T

DON'T go gloss black on the wheels, it looks odd on a white polo gti, see here:

bennyboy on here has done a charcoal-esqu colour, one out of the VW colour pallette and I think it looks much better, understated but still very nice and an effective contrast.

I personally will blatently copy him, though I will get metal flake in mine:) When the damn car get on the boat, 2 weeks sitting at the factory and another 3 weeks at the dock before shipping!

Sorry for taking absolutely ages to reply!!

yeah well for insurance i was being quoted 7,000 as im only 18 and it's my first car!!! But managed to get one courtesy of my dads company so now insurance is only 1,700!! But i've been loving the first month i've had it.. had a few looks and been stopped a few times by the police as im quite young! Also had the odd race with the odd kid who looks for it! including a few seat ibizia and leons also the golf gti before the current one which was very close!!

At night though i find sometimes my headlights to be too low, and can't see as far, but i can't change it!!! :(

Also went into my local dealership and theyre quoting me 450 per alloy for a new set of black 18" ones which the can make just about fit, so i'll see! And for those around manchester im from wilmslow/alderley edge side!

Also as i'm a photographer (or getting there) i'll be taking some good photos and of course ill post them!!

Don't go black, v common now. If you must go black then get the front face of the wheels diamond cut so they are Monza shadows like the Golf GTI 8) ( i also have a white Golf GTI with Monza shadows 8) ) or go grey / anthracite also nice contrast :D
