hi one of two really =) i want to get some pics up to show you the new motor =D but no idea how to do it =S any help?! also its likely its gonna be lowered within the month and i was wondering where other people had theres fitted, whether it was a local garage, vw dealer or they had done it themselves?? i was thinkin 35mm front 55mm back on 17's?? gonna go for the H&R springs =) someone on here told me maybe not to go past the 40mm mark without uprated shocks but just wondering anyone elses opinion really, i was just after springs and didnt really wanna go nuts with uprated shocks and all the rest of it!

any help would really be appreciated!!

The way I do it is get a free online photo account like photobucket or flickr and link to the image(s) there using the 'Img' icon in the reply box...

I have had my 1.2 TSI lowered with 25/40 H&R's. I can do the job myself, but as the car is virtually brand new, I entrusted it to my local garage.

The ride is spot on and the height looks great too. 50mm will sit right down on the wheels and will look pretty extreme. I just wanted a slightly sportier look, rather than the low Phat VW Euro style thing !!! Depends what you want really.

If I was going for 50mm springs though, I would consider better shocks. I think you can get Bilsteins for these now.

What car is it ?

It's a polo 1.2 70ps moda :) anyone got any websites that I can get uprated bushes from?? Thinking of goin 55mm on back and 35 mm on front because as it is now on 17's it sits really high =S don't think the 40mm springs would make a big difference. Anyone else gone lower than 40mm?

A quick update on this.

After about a week my front O/S Shock seal gave way !!! I think these spindly shocks are the usual crap that VW use !!!

So beware, if you are lowering, you may as well add in a better set of shocks for a few extra squid !! Will be well worth it. I would go for a set of Bilstein Gas ones if you can get em.

Nothing to do with spindly shocks, obviously not designed to work with lowered springs.
