Hey There
Just thought I would start a little thread to show you our lovely little GTi named POD
Got him about 1-2 years ago but had a lot of problems with cutting out... ended up being cam sensor AND crank sensor...
But now he is back and looking better than ever

Needs a good service soon... along with new brakes as has been sat around doing NOTHING for ages! lol Except driving us 570 miles to Scotland on the weekend from Devon and then back again! This car is a trooper!!
So this is mine and my girlfriends new project and we shall be attending as many shows, meets etc next summer when hopefully all is complete! Few big plans for this car!
Here are a few pics taken yesterday...

Re: POD - The Lovable GTi - EPC Light??

Been a while since I've been on here!
Read the thread about the new MOT rules, and a engine light means a fail? Well my EPC light has been on for a while, I checked the brake lights and brake light switch all seem ok... anyone any ideas? is I don't really want to take it to a garage to pay them £40 odd to run a diagnostic if someone on here knows what it might be lol
Update on the car... nothing changed really apart from sorted out the sound system a little, hid the sub in the boot under the carpet and secured the amp... Also took a new job a delivering Pizzas for Dominos! Not only are these cars pretty quick but the don't let you down either! Still working like a dream!

Obviously some dodgy cowboy mechanic somewhere down the line... doesn't surprise me as after I bought it I found the CD changer didn't work and it leaks! lol

Cheers
I normally used Volkswagen for my service parts simply because the quality was good, price wasnt too shabby and it looks good for the service history.
You cant really go wrong getting the plugs, oil & filter from your local VW dealer alternatively you could try GFS or TPS

I highly rate Euro Car Parts too, very good service and fair prices too

I use halfords fully synthetic oil with a genuine vw filter. Spark plugs are ngk again from halfords as the trade card makes stuff much cheaper

Got a quote from VW and plugs and filter only cost £25! Not to bad!
Get that done when I get paid! Sounds like a stupid question but whats the best oil to put in?
