Should be ok as long as you run a stretched tyre.

I have 17x8 et30(they sit 5mm further out that et35) rotiform NUEs on my 9n3 Gti

They rub slightly at the front if I have the car wound right down, with no rubbing at the rear.

I run 17x205, 40 Tyres an they are spot on.

If I were you I'd run 17x205, 40 Tyres maybe a 195 on the front if u want to be extra safe. You could easily get away with a 5mm spacer on the rear as well.

Pretty sure Ste's A8 wheels are 17x8 or 8.5

I'm running et 21 on the rear, it pokes slightly and rubs on the sidewall..

17x 7.5 et35 should run absolutely fine if Et35.

Here is a picture of mine on an 8 et30.

As I said the front rubs slightly but would be fine if 5mm further in. I also trimmed the tabs on the arch liner as these are what rubs.

i've got 17x8.5 et38 5x100 OZ superleggera's laying in the basement.
need to be painted before they come on
the tyres were 225 45 17 when i bought them, much to big i know, but putted them on just to see how the wheels would be looking under the car.
will look fantastic i guess, but i def. need a 205 40 17 or 215 40 17 tyre on it.
