hi all
im close to buying the wifes car now
no doubt there is no workshop manual for this year? cant find a haynes workshop manual only this one, which covers the pre face model
http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stor ... &langId=-1

it says Petrol: 1.2 litre (1198cc) 3-cyl & 1.4 litre (1390cc, non-FSI) 4-cyl.
Does NOT cover 1.4 litre FSI engines.

is the 2008 a FSI engine?

what did vw do the engine to improve the bhp and emmissions from the polo 75 and 80

cheers guys

If it says FSi on the back it's FSi, if not then it will have 1.4

I have a pre-facelift 1.4 FSi (which says FSi on the back) but I still bought that same manual since it covers 98% of the stuff I need. The other 2% is the common rail injection system, which I don't intend on ever touching anyway :P

The facelifted version again is very much the same car, any differences will probably become obvious and easy to adapt to while using the manual and you shouldn't have any problems. :)

Not necessarily, you can get FSi's in SE as well as Sport, which relates more to the trim and spec.

You can also get a 1.4 sport (non fsi), but that's a 16v with 100bhp and will have '16v' on the back badge.
