Your car is a 6n2

You need to replace the 4 pin green engine temperature sensor - get a new one from your local VW dealer. You must ensure its an original VW part as the copy parts are absolute crap quality

The airbag fault you can just clear. Nothing to worry about

thanks alexperkins and red6n2, i dont think i will trust the garages, as they have took loads and loads of money of me, and still havent even fixed the fault, so my trust in this website, been to loads of forum before, and loads of people on there can be trusted. so thanks for your help guys.

do u guys know how much that part is? and what symptoms would i be getting if that part is faulty?

I changed mine like 2 3 Montserrat ago thanks to alexs advice my car was jerkin stuttering not viciously but enough to annoy I had a slight loss of power and when the engine was warm and I turned it off to then turn it on again it wouldn't start just kept cutting out till left for hours and the engine cooled then it would start again.

Vw tried claiming immobiliser issues which I knew was wrong else the car wouldn't start at all. But trust alex mate he has helped me out loads and never in the wrong direction.

Oh and it's about £30-£35 and remember to replace any lost coolant :D

its about £20 for the part i cant remember if it comes with a new seal and horse shoe clip, if not its best to get them too as they can be a little worn from the temperatures they recieve, and if you change it properly you wont loose any coolant but a bottle from vw is about £12 and always get the G12 from vw too where are you based? as im willing to lend a hand if your localish? im in lincoln

Theyve gone up a bit about £25ish now

They dont come with a seal or horseshoe clip, so ask for a new one when you get it.
