Mate Ive got one on mine is it great. Alot louder than I thought it would be. 3000 is the sweet spot. Worth getting if you want some noise. Only down side is cruising down the motorway it gets annoying but just turn the radio up. Hope this helps.

it doesnt matter on the size of the air filter, it could be the size of a tree and it still wouldnt make a difference, your car is fly by wire and has a MAP so it controls how much air is sucked into the engine, they say the size of the engines on the bmc becasue of different size throttle bodies so it comes with the right size adapters etc etc.

ive got a pipercross filter that i dont use any more, after £40 deliverd, you can pic up the right size 90 degree bends on ebay for your little 1.0 throttle body and if i remember correctly there about 53mm in diamter? i may even have one kicking about somewhere

Is the pipercross just a cone filter? Or sealed units like the bmc?

no worries mate, i have another pipercross filter too its BRAND new but the metal tubing is abit batterd, doesnt affect it or anything, can be coverd up quite nicely with some silicone or something, only want £25 for that one its the same as this:
