Alloys?!

Post by robz »

hey ebody.

looing to get a new set of alloys come the end of the month. Currently runnin 175/60 R 14 with -40mm Gmax springs & shocks. Im stuck between two options:

1) do i go for 15"s with 45 or 50 profile
2) get -60mm springs (if you can?) and geta new set of 14"s with slightly lower profile tyres?!

Either way i need (really want  ) new alloys, any1 got some suggestions?

Cheers, Robin! :)

Unless you get thin 15s, you won't be able to put 50 profile tyres on, and 45 profile tyres will rub with a 40mm drop.

I'm sure Spax do -60mm springs, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I have 15x6.5 alloys with 195/45 tyres, it's the width that causes problems with rubbing really not the size. You should be fine with 175 width tyres I'd have thought.

IMO 14" wheels are the best size for a Mk 3 polo. Run with 185-50 or 195-45 tyres you can't go wrong
