Turbo problems..? Uneven pull

Hello.. :(

I'm wondering if something might be wrong with the baby.

Noticed when driving today that in 2nd gear, when I get above 3.4-4k rpm ish, it starts pulling a bit uneven. Like I take my foot of the pedal for like 0.5 sec, then keep going.. But I floored it.. This happens a handful of times through the whole rpm range..

The only possible reason I can think of, is that it's not getting enough air :? The reason I thought of this is cus I have installed new fog light grilles, the gti ones.

It's being serviced soon anyways, but anyone know why it does this? It's not happening in first, and I do believe at least 4th is fine too. Have not tested 3rd yet though..

Pretty please.. Tell me :P

Not sure what that is either, and sorta hard to google :P

But no stress really, it's off to it's service in some weeks, and I'm not even driving it on a daily basis.. ;)

the TIP does not collapse on a GTI normally,
that where problems that may occur with a TT225 or S3.

i'm also thinking about youre maf sensor.
does wierd things when this is broke.
the MAF is positioned just after youre airfilter, it's plastic round tube-isch thing and there is a sensor on the side of it.
you can use vagcom to see any problems or try a MAF sensor that you are sure of that it is a good one and try that out.

Don't got vagcom, and it seems that o get it out you need some sorta special screwdriver..

But thanks for all the replies! :) I'll give the workshop some info bout what the prob possibly is, so they don't charge me for 2-3 hours of work for locating the prob.. :/

Hmm, last time I had mine off I dont remember any special screws, just two large round clips (one on each end) that need to be squeezed together in order to open them up and get the pipes off each side

Your definetly trying to remove the whole unit, not take it appart?

oh.. Yeh, I thought about the two screws at the top.. :P

That was a different MAF than the one I saw in a video.. So what do I do after I've removed it then? How do I clean it..?

It could also be a faulty throttle pedal, they can play up and cause allsorts of problems such as vehicle doesnt rev or delays in acceleration when the pedal is pressed.inside they have 3 5volt feeds and if it looses a feed can cause these problems. if the pedal is faulty it should have a stored fault code on the ecu.

Well this is embarrassing.. But it seems it was the oil that needed a refill.. :P

Checked it and filled it some days ago, and now the car is working perfectly fine ^^
