Hi there i've done this before the item you are searching for is a VW MFD like this one below
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK4-P ... 3f0d5a43f6
its easy to fit slots straight in you will need the release keys
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-VW-Skoda ... 4cf97222c6
and the wiring harness
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-Po ... 5195754b84
and ariel adaptop
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC5-100-Volks ... 23028ace94
all fits perfect only problem i found was my MFD didn't play CD's i had a ipod adaptor kit from VW so it fine quite dated though the MFD are amazing

I thought about this a while ago as well. You'll need a CD changer/ipod connection because the nav DVD goes into the CD slot so you can't play CDs and use the navigation at the same time.
Also worth using a canbus adapter if you're going to be fitting navigation. Costs a bit more but it's completely plug and play and gives you a speed pulse wire, which you'll need for the navigation to be accurate. I didn't bother in the end, got an aftermarket unit instead. Not much more money but more up to date. Might be worth a look mate.

yes you would need a CD changer i don't have any pictures unfortunately i sold mine some time ago and then sold my polo 1.4 tdi for 1.8 GTI cup edition which now my new project i would suggest getting something more updated i mean the OME look good but technology updated in new VW like the RCD makes polo with MFD look ancient
