I'm in the process of doing a k03 hybrid.

The k04-023 off the mk1 S3 will fit but you have to use the manifold, injectors, 3" MAF and a 4bar fuel pump too.

Also you will have to re route you inter cooler pipe work as the manifold will foul the original boost pipe that runs down the back of the engine.

Whats the benifits of the hybrid? Abd whats the power gains. Ive heard the garrett ones r ment to be good

To me the benefits are keeping the same down pipe (after paying so much for the Milltek)
keeping the same inter cooler pipe work/routes (after paying so much for a Forge one)
and you can run it from the same manifold although I have recently purchased a JBS uprated one.

Lastly when looking under the bonnet it all looks factory.

Depending on the route you take regarding hybrid you can achieve between 250 - 300 bhp if sticking with the k03 housing.
For those who question this ask Bill @ Badger 5 about the CR turbo's ko3 22-83 hybrid (which is currently in his wife's Lupo  ).

It all depends what you want to achieve out of your turbo upgrade.
For me I love the spool characteristics of a k03 and I get to keep this and have more than ample power for a front wheel drive car.

Once I have completed mine I shall post the results.
Hopefully this will be by February as I only have to fit the uprated rods, get my Quaife diff fitted to my six speed, pay for the hybrid work to be done to my turbo and get it mapped

trust me, K04-023 from a S3 will not fit, even if you put the manifold on it.
the intake of the turbo ccomes to the other side, there is no room in a polo to fit it, there is something from the ABS that sits in the way that will collide with the turbo.
unless you are going to remove and replace everything it's do-able.. but just buy a frankenturbo hybrid and you have the same to even more power and it's bolt on (cheaper)
