Just seen a 2011 61 plate gti polo with the 310 radio with " apprently " bluetooth pre wire? Is this wrong like I think it is?!

This is brilliant news, apparently the rcd310 now comes with Bluetooth built in for all the 2012 versions. This might save taking apart the car and plumbing the Bluetooth kit into it with all the associated wiring. Can anyone who works for Veedub give some more details. In the meantime I'm hot footing it to the dealer to make enquiries. Dab, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, great. And yes, don't mind not having a moving map.

Btw, on one of the overseas forums I think they are asking for the rcd 310 2012 version to be retrofitted at dealer expense !

How do you know that the 2012 has bluetooth as standard??

Sorry Samba, I think I might have got too excited about an rcd310 and it wasn't really worth it. Fired up mine today and the rcd310 does have some functionality for Bluetooth. It's on the menu functions to switch it on/off. I think the only thing missing is to plug in the bluetooth kit as advertised on ebay( box +harness) and it should hopefully just plug in the back without the need for upgrading the rcd double din unit. Has anyone just added the Bluetooth kit only to an rcd 310 at all ?
