I've got Michelin PS3s on mine. Only done a couple of hundred miles on them but they seem pretty good. Continentals are meant to be pretty decent as well.

I've got 215/40/17.

I had the H&R 35mm springs and lets just say I would highly recommend against it.

Why would you not recommend it?

Sorry, I'm running 215/45/17.

I personally haven't tried it, and I don't know anyone else who has, but the reason for not recommending the size you've listed is because from experience, when I do a full lock of the steering wheel with a 215, I get a slight rub but nothing to be worried about. I can only assume if the width is 225 it would definitely rub the inner guard.

If you're going to do a 35mm H&R drop, then on a 45 profile, you definitely will be rubbing the guard - this is from experience. I've got a 20mm drop and I'm fine on a 45 profile.

Hope this helps.
