Hey, if you have a MK5 Polo you probably are not a stranger to this light below..

Image

I have had a lambda sensor or `oxygen sensor' replaced in the front of my car under the bonnet and I bought a brand new catalytic converter because my car failed its M.O.T. on emissions and this cat also had another lambda sensor fitted on it.. the lambda sensors are brand spanking new!

I had it checked out and it said they were both running fine then the mechanic made it disappear. It went away for a month and now its back and a week later its still there! I know this is a common fault on these polo's especially if you have a heavy foot!

Anyone know anything you can do to get rid of the light by yourself? What has everyone else done? My mate said that he had this light on for 2 years but in a different car!

Cheers
Jamie

Need p get this sorted buf as its an mot fail now. Could be throttle body I had this, or brake
Light switch also caused this and also my thermostat. Vag com is the only real way to diagnose this silly little light :(

Had someone look at this and basically they tried to scam me out of money by saying I needed a new lambda sensor AGAIN!... Even though both of them are brand new and the car has been plugged in twice and both sensors are working perfectly 100%

I noticed that when I open the car up a bit there is sometimes a bit of a drag from behind like a small lack of power and you feel the car slow down a bit don't know if that helps? When I put my foot to the floor it doesn't really seem to go as fast as it should..

Cheers
Jamie

This tends to happen with this light on anyway the car goes into a basic limp home mode to basically try save te engine from ruining itself. Need to plug it in and the code will come up.
