Hi Guys,

Been on the polo scene for about 4 years, just posted my pride and joy up for sale.

Just wondered how safe is nitrious not knocking the fact you have done it just intrested what strains it puts on the engine and the cost :)

Its quite cheap to buy a NOS kit and get it set up (£500-700) but to replinsh the nitrous is where it becomes expensive because it doesnt last that long.
You can get a "Wet" or "Dry" kits but the most effective tends to be the Wet kits which adds more fuel when accelerating.

50 shot would be a good choice for a GTI because anything over that is likely to cause engine damage so essentially it would be running 175bhp with a 50 shot of NOS

A progressively controlled wet 50 shot is generally safe on a well maintained and structurally sound 1.6 GTi.

And it goes like stink!
