Hmmmm... decisions, thinking of lowering my Gti and adding a set of 18's but unsure what suits the 6R, does anyone have any inspiration?

I wouldnt go with 18s. The Polo is great on 40 section 17s.

Personally I'd leave it on the standard wheels, but if you want 18s what about the diamond turned Golf GTI BBS Monzas?

Golfs have a different PCD. Golfs are 5x112, Polo is 5x100. But you could get replicas in 5x100.

Oh ok. I saw one on a 6R Polo, I guess they must have been replicas. Looked quite good though.

Thats a point, I would have to get 35 section 18" tyres, do you think it would throw the DGS out much?

There would be a 0.63% increase in rolling radius if you went for 215/35/18 tyres. Which is 4mm overall on the diameter and 12mm circumference. The difference would be minimal, but the ride would be pretty harsh. At an indicated 70mph, you would actually be driving at 70.44mph, so well within the tolerances.

Further too this guys, looking at 18" 8inch wide ET35 on 215/35/18 rubber combined with 35/55 H&R Springs, am I touch and go for rubbing?
