Does anyone know if number plates are covered under warranty? Reason i'm asking, both on the front and the rear numberplates, the corners are starting to peel and i'll be peeved if i've got to pay for replacement numberplates on a car that is 9 month old. Anyone had any experience of anything like this in the past?

Good question?

I work for a large HGV Truck dealership and never been asked this question! I asked our warranty guy and he said Number plates wouldn't be covered under warranty.

I didn't expect there to be a section in the Warranty for numberplates. However, as i've parted 15k with themselves and they've fitted dodgy peeling plates - I presumed they would out of sheer courtesy.

They wont be covered by warranty but a trip to the dealers and a friendly word may yield good results

Just ring the dealer up where you got them from, try speak to the guy who sold you the car and hopefully he will remember you and if he's a nice guy then maybe he will get them replaced for you! Never hurts to ask lol

Thanks guys & Enty :) Unfortunatley I bougfht my car from a dealer down in Essex (as they could save me £800) but i'm located in Leeds. I'll give my local dealer a ring tomorrow and see what they can do.
