Colour coding (interior)

I want to introduce a bit more silver into my car. I have plans to do the interior door pulls (not the thing that opens the door), and would really like to do the area around the heater switches. I know how to do the doors, but the heater switch surround is somewhat more challenging. Theres the small problem of the recessed areas that glow at night, and the removal of this panel from the dashboard to do it properly (as I don't want everything in silver!).
Any ideas/tips/hints?
Thanks.
Karl.

I did this on mine it is quite easy to remove the green control filter that is glued to the back it will peel off but be carefull and use a sharp knife to gently bring the edges up. after you've sprayed it it will still be sticky enough to replace, simply press around the edges

So its 2 separate panels? Well, thats made things a hell of a lot easier.
Thanks.

You've been very helpful, but I just need to pick your brains one more time on this subject: How does the panel remove from the dashboard?
Do you remove the switches first (if yes, how?)
Is the panel clipped in place, or are there any sneaky screws anywhere?
And hows the panel come out, so I can separate the film from the plastic?
Thanks again.

its easy m8, jst pull @ it. It will seem as though it wont want 2 budge but some gental prising helps. there are no screws holding this in place & you cannot remove the switches without removing the panel 1st.
Hope dat helps m8

As soon as I can get some money together for the paints and primers, etc, I will give it a whirl.
Thanks.
