Standard cd player fitment?- and is anyone selling one?

Hey folks,
Just bought a 2004 1.9SDI polo. But it only has a tape deck.
So I want to change it to a standard cd player headunit, or add a oEm cd changer that fits below the headunit if possible?
I'm sure that if I change to a single disk player it's a simple case of replacement, easy, but if I got my hands on a cd changer, how do these wire up to the tape deck headunit? Is there a plug that comes off the loom of the car which plugs into the changer? Or does the changer plug into the existing headunit?- BASICLY, is there any wiring involved in fitting a cd changer to a car which doesn't come with one as factory, or is it all just plugs?
Finally... Anyone selling a factory VW polo cd changer, or a single cd player headunit?
Must be stock headunit with buttons that light up red, and a blue display.
Cheers, terry.
