would be tricky to do as each instrument panel is coded to the car because your immobiliser runs through it,you would need a brand new cluster and have vw code it for you, could get expensive mate

it is possible. i guy on here has done it. have a look through all the posts, if from a while back but its very detailed and should help you out.
