pretty sure you can't wire it to the standard vw cd player coz you won't have a sub output on the back of the cd player, you will need an aftermarket one.

Aww f**k. Am not wanting to go aftermarket like. My mate has an aftermarket one in his polo and I think it looks pretty crap in such a new car. I like the standard radio system it works well and lOoks nice and smart tbh

I know what you mean. they should make a standard head unit with the sub output on it would be so much better.

I got the RNS 510 in, the adapter as peeps above have mentioned was £20 and for wiring and everything cost me an extra £30. The sub was £50.
its just the adapter you have to get fitted by the audi professionals unless you know how to do wire yourself. otherwise running the wires through the car isnt hard at all!

Just got an e-mail back off the company and this is what it said ...
"Hi Dale
The amplifier I recommend to run your system is a Hertz HE2
Designed to work from a OME headunit and to power a subwoofer.
HE2 amplifier £129.00
Installation incl cable kit £85.00
Regards Mark"
Hope this helps people find what they looking for

i done my research and if you have the right amp that runs off the OEM radio, you don't need a adapter, just my mate needed one as he had a sub and amp off his old car
