will a 1.3 8v polo 6n gear box fit a 1.4 8v

I have many questions but am struggling to find any definitive answers. Basically im after a lower gear ratio for my 1.4 8v and would appreciate if anybody could tell me how to achieve this.I was thinking possibly a gearbox form the 1.3 8v would give a lower gear ratio ???

Putting a 1.3 gearbox in there will give it faster acceleration up to your top end speed but its getting a 1.3 gearbox to fit on to a 1.4 engine then think bout if its cable or hydric clutch unfortunately it aint jus a straight swap like
