Any specialised tools needed for this job...

My mechanic is doing it but he's a Honda man! He's more than capable but he wanted to know if he needs any special tools to complete the job :)

Anyone shed any light on this would be great

Thanks

Oh yeah turbo comes back from turbo dynamics this week but I've gone for the 240 bhp hybrid as too many people are telling me I need to do internals... Grrr so I'll be happy with 240 for now :)

Also had a load of stuff delivered
New momo steering wheel n boss
Secondary air pump blank from forge
Powder coated inlet manifold
20mm spacers for the rear
Black n white rx2's with fresh rubber
312mm brakes with tarox discs n pads from will (modded9n)
Brand new Forge rear strut brace after I sold mine! Duhhhh was goin to sell up!

Once that's all sorted n the cars up n running I need new remap and also a bloody good detail as the paintwork is not great due to people going in the garage n brushing past it n erhhhhh!!

Give a company called Midland Turbo a call they may be able to give you a better price than that on the turbo, sounds expensive. They would fully refurbish it and give you a warranty of 1 year unlimited miles.

Cars taken a back seat for a bit doing the little bits that I've got an hopefully ill be buying a K03 turbo sending it away and getting that hybrid been speaking to 9N3 turbo and he's told me I can salvage parts from my old turbo which I can hopefully do

It originally went to turbo dynamics which Ive been told there work is excellent and top quality

So thas where I'll be sending the next turbo and hopefully this one isnt fcuked like the last one :)

Still hoping to get it done for gti international which shouldn't be a problem :D

Spoke to my friend who works at midland turbo. He says if you send your turbo back and it's ok then it will cost you about £400 to fix it and make it a hybrid... Something for you to bear in mind. Apparently turbo technics are known for ripping people off.

Quick update,

Got a turbo off a mk4 golf which is a K03s.. Had 7k on the clock when it was removed n it cost me £200

So to end this conclusion I'm thinking about selling the car again as I really wana move out n get my own place

And driving my mrs corsa is saving me alot of money.. But no doubt I'll be back in the dub scene
