Removing Manifold Heat Shield

Post by jacko_b_23 »

Hi

I want to have a go at polishing up my ratty looking heat shield that covers the exhaust manifold, it looks easy enough to remove with just 2 bolts at the top. Is this right or is there any other hidden fastenings that need to be removed before taking it out?

cheers

Jack

Not quite, there should be one towards the bottom aswell however these usually shear when undoing for the first time so they may or may not be present on yours.

3 in total. The one at the botton will likely be very rusty and stiff so take take not to round it off.
