R-Tech Remap Review and Forum Offer

After building up the parts i wanted to fit before remapping the car over the past year i finnally got it mapped by Nick at R-tech last week, so i thought i would share my experience as it took a while to decide where to get it done!
It didnt take long to find R-tech on most of the mk4 1.8t forums, there reputation and feedback really sold it for me just take a look at some of the other reviews over here :

I Went over on Tuesday and Nick did a great job, he spent a good hour on my car before remapping it to ensure it was running the best it could before hand. He did a full vag'com and general inspection of the car on the ramp and everything seemed good. After a few runs on the dyno everything was fine.
My modifications include:
-Forge Tip
-K & N Cone Filter
-Forge DV 008
-Full Turbo back milltek exhaust
So essentially i am missing a front mount intercooler to go for a generic stage 2 remap, so stage 1.5 it was!
As it was the car made 151bhp and 180lft of torque, so exhaust and forge tip give very little bhp wise but a good 20lft of torque which was noticeable prior to the remap!
After another two runs on the dyno and another hour spent mapping the car using a live-data ecu Nick seemed pretty pleased with the results.
212 Bhp and 265lft of torque, he explained that the peak power figure was very conservative and with an intercooler it can be pushed further but the temperature levels were kept within safe limits of the turbo.
However the graph really does explain it all, the power delivery is unbelievable smooth and linear to the redline which is at 7100 rpm, it is a totally different experience, the car pulls so smoothly to the redline, whereas on a standard map i found it to be very dull past 5000rpm. It holds 180 WHP at 71000 rpm which i feel is pretty imrpessive!
To say the least the car has been transformed, after speaking with my friend who has a seat ibiza cupra with all the above mods and a fmic he mentioned that his was running 225bhp, which i could well believe! Anyway we decided to go to local airfield and have a little play. It seemed that his claimed 225bhp was completely different ot my own, rolling starts the polo just pulled right away from 2nd gear, he explained how his torque is non-existant past 5500rpm! His is remapped with another tuner i wont mention names but i was very impressed with mine thats for sure and he was slightly shocked
Lastly whilst i was at Nicks i mentioned this forum to him and he said that he can offer members discounts! If you can get 10 people together who want a custom remap session then the price will be dropped from £250 to £200, i felt that £250 was reasonable considering the price of revo etc so its just an option that im passing on to you guys!
If anyone would like to see the dyno graph i can send it over as i cant upload it at the moment!
Cheers
Alex
