Ive got a 16v Mk5 polo ! It currently sits on 15" wheels, which includes the massssive wheel arch space !!

I want to get it lowered, as low as possible, whats reccomendable ?

I'm not sure but if i go lower than 60mm is it a coilover kit ?

Last time i looked for springs, 60 mm was all i could find these where from APEX, are APEX any good ? And that was £94.99 for 4 springs, then shockies on top of that ?

I take it i would need shockies and springs ! Anything else going so low ?

All help please , i really dont have a clue LOL

A general recommendation from what I've read so far would be to limit a drop on standard shocks to no more than 35mm or so due to the shortness of the new springs... I'm hoping to secure a set of Eibach springs soon for this kind of mild lowering, know what you mean about that arch space!

Replace the standard shocks however and the world's your oyster so to speak. If I were planning a 60mm drop then I'd have new uprated shocks with the shorter springs mate. And an anti-roll bar too, just for fun :D

Cool

Droping it 60mm means , springs and dampeners !

Much are dampeners roughly ?

Jon, does the car rub that low ? Ill have a look at ur car to see how it looks then ill maybe only go as low as that :)

I seriously need to lower it for summer LOL

Thanks Si_Gti for that info :D

im on 16"s with a 75mm drop all round, with spax coil-overs
if you plan to drop any lower than -40mm then new shocks are advisable, also get the tracking done! as it fecks up the wear on the tyres, as they wear unevenally as i found out, after failing a recent mot (that'll be 2 new front tyres then, gulp)
