Exhaust bolts on centre section of exhaust

New exhaust section (VW actual part) fitted under warranty on Friday.

Looks smart... but... it is different from the last one and has major clamps. Two at front of section and two at back of it. Secure then :D

Now the main issue here is the bolts - they are much too long - they now hang down and are the lowest point on the car so they catch on road humps etc! Ahh!!! :o

I tried to see if they could be turned round to the length of bolt points upwards, but no - they are made to only point downwards and fit into locators on the exhaust.

The only other thing I can do now is saw the thread off so the bolt is shorter. What a pain in the ar$e :!:

:) But, you ever tried sawing through exhaust bolts?!?! They are tougher than older boots!
