Has anyone had to do this yet to their 6n2.

I've now got to do it and i was wondering if someone could tell me what im in for and some hints a tips would be great.

The reason i have to do this is: For a while now the drivers speakers have been going silent when the door was open more than half way, But then my girlfreind swung the door open from the inside and it cut off as usual but when the door closed it never came back on, Im thinking this is going to be a broken wire. So i thought it might be a good time to replace all the front wiring with some decent stuff.

Cheers for any help you's can give me.

blast the speakers!

may just be a loose conector in the back of the speaker, take the door card of which is a strange task and then have a look at the speaker.

I tolk the doors card off today and had a look at the back of the speaker, I cant see anything worng with it. so the wire must be broke somewere.

Neither the door speaker or the tweeter are working, this to me suggests that the wire would be broke before the crossover, would this be right.

Finally got round to fixing this Very Small problem, It was one of the main speaker cables (blue) that had snapped between the car and the door. All sorted now BUT while doing this the stereo has just fcuking broke on me. £300 down the drain.

re the popped head unit
can you give me a call about it i may be interested in buying the unit off you (07979) 985 543

as for passing the wires from the cabin into the door. you need to get a huge pair of pliers and twist the "knobbley" ring one end of the rubber flexi. you then need to find a spare position and drill through (i.e. find a position that would have a wire in it but not on all models) then you will need to persuade the female side out of the base of the a pillar and then repeat the process there. on the rear doors its just a rubber tube (i.e.) no plugs
