6N2 GTi Engine Mods

Just got my self a 6N2 GTi and would like to get a bit more power from the engine with out costing the earth as its only a daily
What cheap-ish mods is there to get a bit more from the engine ?

"cheap" :
new exhaust system including 4-2-1 header
new air intake - bmc carbon box or k&n typhoon kit for example (no warm air sucking crap)
expensiv :
new camshaft with mapping
complete turbo mod
...its a pretty "untuneable" engine and as the clutch and the gearbox are pretty sensible anyway i would say you can get a little better sound for fair money , but dont expect a big difference in speed.
