clutch and flywheel

Just had my car mapped at r-tech today, amazing job. Had a stage 1.5 put on and come out at 213 bhp with 282 ft torque. It also has launch control added into the map :-)

My question is though....

I'm gonna need to replace my clutch and flywheel more than likely soon in the future. Do the g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch fit straight into 9n3 gti's or should I be looking at a different set up :-)

Cheers

G60 or 2.0 16v ABF Flywheel and Vr6 clutch fit and work no problem.

Also if you use the std G60 or 2.0 16v ABF Flywheel you wont get any clutch chatter. 8)

Mods are turbo back res miltek system with sports cat, 007p, pipercross induction, forge tip!

Am I right in saying that this kit will do the trick and fits in with no modification to anything?

VR6 clutch and lightend G60 flywheel should do the trick fine, they fit without any problem and no other mods need to be done.

Bit of a old thread but hey ho.

Bought the kit above a month ago, went to fit it at the weekend. All went in okay but when my mechanic started the car, there was a awful metal on metal grinding. Stripped it back down to find one of the bolts was catching inside the gearbox. You could see metal parts inside it. Having to send it all back for a swap for another.

Thought I'd do some research on the eBay company, techniclutch and all I have seen is bad reviews :-/

Was wondering if anyone else had bought this and had any problems? Also heard the clutches don't last many months either which isn't the best thing to hear..

Techni clutch are generally very poor as you're now aware. Usually they just reuse old clutches and attach fresh friction material then sell them as an upgrade. Problem is, the material they use is generally of poorer quality than a bog standard pattern part.

They also like to use the term 'organic' a lot.

I used these for my clutch and they were good quality stuff, fitted perfectly with no problems since. They have 99.4% positive feedback with nearly 12000 sales...?

Problem with ebay feedback is most people leave positive feedback when they receive the item rather than when its fitted.

Had another one sent out and all seems well with this one. Quick question though, has anyone else experienced flywheel chatter with this set up? I've had quite a bit of chatter recently but it's only after I've been driving for a while. On cold start up etc there's no noise?! It had a new release bearing fitted with the set up!

Ha it's the opposite with me, I can oy hear it a little bit when it's a first / cold start or on idle but after its warm I can't hear anything.
