Central Locking leak (at filler position) - now failed !

During the last week or so, the central locking pump keeps buzzing for about 20 seconds to close the car. Opening is fine.
I did a search and someone mentioned that you have to check all the pipes etc, which I did. I also found an old post of someone saying that a leak could appear near the fuel filler for the locking flap there. In my case, it seems to be there as when I lock the door, and I pull the petrol flap outwards a little, the pump stops straight away.
I had a look in that area, but not sure where the leak would be though and what rubber part needs to be checked. Any thought on what connector could be leaking there and how I can get there?

The solenoid that locks the petrol flap might be leaking, when they leak you can here the air, in the boot on the driver side, take the carpet piece off the side, you will then see the pump, there is two screws i believe that fastens the solenoid to the car, be warned these are a pain to refit as the solenoid is where the screws are but the rod that locks the flap is quite long. before removal, climb in boot and lock and unlock to see where leak is. other common places for leaks are at the doors, because its not one harness/pipe through to doors, it splits at the pillars and screws together.

Thanks for that.
I think it is at the petrol flap as when I move that during locking (and therefore move the pin a bit), the leak stops straight away and the pump stops.
I will have a look in the boot - the carpet is at least an easy thing to remove as it just about falls off by itself

Ok, update on this now.
I have had a look in the boot and could not find anything wrong as such. Now the fault has developed in a more serious one and the following is the current state:
- I can centrally lock / unlock from the switch on the driver's door
- When turning the key in the drivers door, the door opens - but nothing happens to the rest of the central locking
- The remote now only flashes the indicators but no longer opens the door nor closes it.
I took the door panel off (drivers door) and all looked fine in there (i.e. no lose blue tube in the visual part at least).
So ... what do you think - if the pump had failed, I had expected this but the door control works still ok just not from the lock anymore, nor the remote (which is the RCLICK one).
Help appreciated so I am not going to buy the wrong bits.

Check the fuse for the remote central locking

Can the internal central locking still work if the fuse had gone?

Just re read you post
Could be a failed microswitch in the door lock, or a blown fuse on the remote central locking or both

Where is the micro switch? I took the door card off and some of the cover to look and just saw a plastic box where the blue tube goes in.
The fuse of rclick is fine, I checked that and the box clicks and the indicators flash.
Your help is appreciated !

Its in the door mechanism itself
It does imply a fault with the pump though as the rclick module isnt locking/unlocking.

I thought it was the pump as well but could not explain why the central locking would work from inside the car using the lock and unlock button.

Different wires.
I would check the fuses in any case
