Ok not had a rim thread in a while so post up what wheels your currently running and mind put what size and what drop you have as most people will want to know
Here is my red three door running 17" Audi replicas with eibach springs to drop it (or not in the polo's case lol )

^ that drop is so sweet, love the direction you've took with that car! I wish I could go that low, but speed bumps think otherwise!

Any lower and you will be removing the road markings as you drive
That must be a very harsh ride

all ya need to know really is the PCD mate, and the width all depends on the Offset of the wheel, the more width of the adapators the less the offset become mate, if ya understand what a mean
so the offset on them mercs reps was ET35 i believe i may be wrong, but with 20mm adapators on the front this now make the offset ET15, and with 30mm on back makes the back offset ET05, and the PCD (pitch circle diameter) is just the pattern of the bolts, so the MERC PCD is 5x112, and the polo PCD 5x100 so if i get 5x100 to 5x112 adaptors is changers the PCD so you can fit the new wheels on
also make sure the adaptors come with the correct bolt thread and length, the bolt thread for the polo is M14 and the mercs bolt where M12, so in turn you need adaptors whitch also change this for your, best buy from a dealer that explains is all i got mine from DPM performance as when you buy is has all the information needed, even says VAG 5x100 M14 to MERC 5x112 M12 all the rest of the info u need, but they are expensive as there new HnR from Germany
