Lowering springs...HELP!!!!!!!

Ive been going mad for the past few days as i have to find myself some lowering springs..
i already have weitec coilovers but unfortunately....the shocks are getting noisy
....and i want to change to springs as they give a better ride and ofcourse the money differences..
I have 17" wheels with 215/45 tyres....may be switching to 205/40....i just want a subtle drop...not one where i cant fit a hair through the arch...and not one when i can stick my head in it either lol...it has to be low enough to take away about 85% of the gap between tyres and arch...
i was thinking of 45mm all round?...Please someone rescue me...im going mad searching around at soooooooo many different sizes and makes!
