fitting reversing sensors in thin Bumper strip

Hi all
I'm new here and would appreciate some help
I have a reversing sensor kit and looking at other company that have fitted them to a 2006 Polo TDi (sorry I don't understand the 6n2 type of designations used.. wish I did) I see they have fitted them in the thin strip on the rear of the bumper.

I'd like to do the same..
Does this insert in the bumper pull out/glued in perhaps? If it comes off, i can take my time and drill the holes necessary in comfort
