HEADLIGHT DRL MODE

Could i ask when your driving during the day what lights are on in your headlights?
Mine automatically are sidelights with dipped beam with rear lights and numberplate lights on
. I just thought it would of been just sidelights

When i turn on the car my headlights and sidelights number plate and rears come straight on !

Mine are just sidelights, rears and number plates. I took the headlight switch unit out and bent the DRL pin back as shown on YouTube to try and disable them completely but turned out to just turn off low beam.
worked out okay though as I have the H7R HID4U kit installed and they don't recommend them to be turned on before starting up the car.

Mine has a separate bulb in the headlamp unit which when on looks like it's on a dipped beam (although it isn't the dipped beam bulb). The sidelights are on a different and separate bulb again.

It's this, but it didn't fully disable them, just turned sidelights on as DRL instead of the sidelights and low beam :/

I know on the mk6 golf you can go into vagcom and change the settings so you can turn off the low beam and either just have sidelights or you can do what ill be doing and running it through the fogs
Heres the tut for the golf, you'll have to test it for the polo!
