Questions!

Hi guys, well this is my first post here so hello I guess!

Basically I'll be placing my order for the car in a couple of months, hoping for an r line in white, and just have a couple of questions to ask you all.

My first being will a set of tsw nurburgring 18 inch wheels fit, and what tyres would I need, assuming I lower the car about 30-40mm? I'm a complete newbie at modding, sorry if its basic

Secondly does painting the fog surrounds gloss black make a noticeable difference? Or is it more
For the perfectionists on here?

I've also been told that the front badge unclips by twisting to the right and pulling, the rear badge you have to get at through the boot and the front upper grille is an unscrew and unclip job, is this true?

Finally the wingmirrors, how would I go about changing the cover on these from stock to the carbon ones?
As you can tell, a bit eager but I'm looking at preparing for when I get my car!
Appreciate any help anyone can give in advance.

Thanks for the reply and the tip about the rear badge, does it just pop back in after you prise it out?
Also on your recommendation about wheels, if I was to get 17's I believe the bolts are 5x100? So I think that the offset would be 35? How about the width? 17x8? I'm a complete novice for wheels you see, so really appreciate the help.

Just don't want it to sit as high as a bus, with wheels the generally fill the arches, cheers for all your help mate.

As moo said if can become a bit of an art, wheel whores and the internet in general is a great place to Learn about it all.

But if your after something that has a et35 which is which stock wheels are you can always space them to get that perfect fit.

This is a cool video from AwesomeGTI which should help you a bit with spacers.

And iirc the standard width is 7 but like I said read about it you will lern it quite easy.

18s are what am getting but am also getting airride so scrubbing ain't gonna be a issue and will be tucked so :?:

Cheers for the video, I'll have to watch it later as I'm at work at the minute.

Just to clear this up then, if I was to buy a 17x7 et35 wheel it'd fit without spacers? As obviously I'd want lower profile tyres and to drop the car a little, say 30-40mm just to make it look a bit sportier, this could make the wheels look stupid and I'd have to space them to get a decent stance presumably.

With it being 7j ET 35, it would sit like your wheels do now as they are 7j ET 35
