I've had a knock from the suspension for a while now. I've had all the near side apart looking for play etc and I've just got the off side wheel off and found the ARB floating and the stud and a small piece left where it should be attached to the wishbone. I've Removed the bit left on the w-bone but the question is how do remove the bit on the end of the ARB and the bush that is around it? I need the car for work Monday help!

I think I'm going to angle grind it off as its solid! Has anyone managed to buy a new one from anywhere other than VW? GSF and my local motor factors only supply the none GTI one which has a smaller internal diameter (18mm), the GTI is 20 or 22 depending on who you speak to?

It's going to be on the road tomorrow once I've changed my spring tonight. ARB disconnected for now :|

Well I took the angle grinder to it and split the bush off, cleaned the rust off the ARB and took a measurement, it is a 22mm bar. VW didn't get back to me so I've ordered them from a local place called JustAudiVW in Lincoln, they are getting me OEM parts ordered today to collect in the morning so I'm happy with that! They are a really useful company btw for anyone in Lincoln!

Anyway hopefully it'll be all sorted tomorrow and ready to roll on its winter wheels, cheers.

Just for info as there seemed to be a bit of confusion with dimensions even at dealer level.

Drop link part no. Specifically for the GTI 6n2 is; 6N0 411 315 D for both sides. HTH
