Thanks for all replies to my previous posts,being a newbie to the VW scene joining this forum has helped a lot whitch brings me to my next question I would like to change the coolant/antifreeze what is involved and is there a spec of antifreeze for my polo 6 n2 1.4 16 v has ahw engine thanks in advance jock78

I would suggest getting a Haynes manual as its helpful for things like this

Coolant capacity is 6 litres with a 50/50 coolant water mix

You'll need to use 3 litres of red coolant ideally VW G13 genuine coolant

Simply turn heater controls to hot, disconnect the lower radiator hose, drain coolant, flush with water through the expansion tank, refit hose, refill coolant system with coolant and then water. Run for five minutes and check level and top up as necessary
