different suspension front and rear

I have 50mm lowering springs on my polo and the back is just not low enough!
i have a weitec coilover setup lying about the garage, however the fronts are no use
so i was thinking...
could i use the weitec adjustable rear suspension on my car while the front is just lowering springs?
just needed an opinion as to if it makes a a difference to handling/safety or not?
