I'm looking to get either of the above but what is required? I already have 312mm but want something a bit more showey

With the porchse brakes I know you need adapters, brake lines etc, but with brembos off a seat leon cupra r what is needed?

Obviously I need the calipers, carriers, discs and pads to suit but do I need adapters and specific brake lines?

I will be upgrading the lines to Braided and brake fluid at the same time.

Links would be much appreciated if I need adapters etc...


Also what does everyone do for rear brakes?

Just in case you're unaware Porsche callipers are made by Brembo.

If you get the whole setup from the Leon Cupra R then it will all bolt up to the Polo inc lines however I had some braided ones made when I ran this set up.

To be honest I only fitted the 256mm rears to balance out the braking as it was unbalanced. Felt like I would hit the windscreen every time I hit the brakes.

Ah, i never knew brembo made the Porsche calipers,

Well i thought the leon set up would be the cheaper option but after trying my wheel (standard monza) over the brakes on a friends cupra r its turns out i would need bigger wheels.

and as for the Porsche set up i found these, which should fit perfect under the monzas:

As the the rears what parts are needed? pretty sure i read somewhere its skoda fabia vrs parts?

The callipers in that link above look like Boxster rears so I would buy that kit without prior conformation they are using front callipers

For the rears you're better off getting the following parts from either a Mk4 Golf Anniversary or Seat Leon Cupra R

Callipers
Carriers
Discs
Pads

You'll also need to modify your disc splash plate by cutting the lip off so the disc can fit.
All will become very clear when you go to fit.

Hi, will Cupra r brakes fit behind dunes? Also other than disks and pads what's needed to fit them carriers from a Cupra as well? And does the pad wear indicator still work?

I'm not sure as I never tried them with the dunes. They did fit begin TT Comps so assume they will.
Comps were ET 38 and RW's are ET35

Yes the calliper, carrier and brake lines.

And yes the wear indicator does still work depending on what pads you buy. As long as they have the indicator it will work.
You may have to change the plug though. Taking it from your old pads. Very easily done.
