Would these fit?

 This is in the realm of what-if pipedreams... and larceny.

So, I get to drive the works Astra Estate for a day. It's a total slug, and has no driver feedback whatsoever, but quite comfy and smart. I notice it has reasonable (if hideously dirty) 6-spoke alloys on. 4-stud alloys. 195/55 R15s to be precise.

If I were to borrow them for a day (take ownership of it, drive off and work til lunch, then reunite with the polo at break time, scrub & temporarily swap wheels for a quick photo shoot ;) ), or just pick some similar ones up cheaply somewhere and modify the centre caps, would vaux 15-inch wheels with 195/55 rubber have any chance of fitting? Or just a bit too big, with kooky offsets?
I dunno... they're subtle... but smart in a back-to-basics fashion.

Mk3 hatch btw ;)

Erm, I think the Vaux centre bore is too narrow. The PCD will be fine (4x100) and the offset will ok (too high, but so what) - but the centre bore...

Think it's 56mm instead of 57,something.

I'll look around.

:D

Don't knacker yourself looking for an answer though, if i was ever to have the opportunity to "borrow" I'd probably bottle it.. :D (and like i could realistically afford alloys before 2005?)

Following those details though, might try putting my 155/70s on the Astra though   .... it could do with a bit of a gearing reduction. (hey... that could work... it'd be like fitting mine with a 4.47 final instead of the 4.06... muchos acceleratos..)

My hubs are a bit battered anyway, I bet I could squoosh them on. Might be a trouble getting 'em in under the rear arches though. Suspension isnt dropped (so front would be fine) but the rear is saggy.
