I put my car in to AMD Tuning today for a cam belt as they recomended one for the milage the car has coverd. Anyway when they took the cambelt off of the car it did not match with the kit they had orderd and fitted to other gti's, they said there was no simularitys in the belt kits at all, and now i have to wait another 3 days to get my car back as they have to order it from VW itself. Does anyone know if there was differences in the belts depending on the year of the 9n3 gti's.

Im not to sure what kit it was but it is the same belt AMD have always used on the gti they said, but the one on the car was compleatley different (tensioner and baring). They said there not going to fit the belt they orderd just to be on the safe side and order a genuine VW part.

I can only think they have the wrong kit. Every manufacturer i can find only lists one type.

Elsa win also only shows one setup
