UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

Got my new Polo GTI a couple of weeks back which came with the bluetooth hands free kit and a RCD310. After fiddling about with it, I've managed to get my music to play through the stereo from my phone, but the system only seems to play audio out of the very front small speakers (not the ones in the doors or in the rear).

Does anyone know if the system should work in the rest of the speakers in the car? If not, does anyone know if its possible to get it to play through the rest of the speakers?

Why not just play it via AUX or FM transmitter?

Admittedly bluetooth would be ace to play it through becuase that way you have the "call and pickup" functionallity but AUX does it as well - with less battery drainage to begin with.

I personally just like the idea of being able to jump in my car and have my phone connect to the stereo and continue playing from where it left off, and not have to fanny about with cables. Figured that seeing as the car already has bluetooth for hands free calling, there would be a way to stream my music through it too.

Spoken to the guy that sold me the car at the dealer though, and he said it is possible with another cable which needed to be fitted, so now I'm just waiting for him to get back to me with a price. Would anyone know what cable he would be talking about?

Did you hear back from VW?? Anyone else know a solution?
