6N2 Door Card Re-trim

Has anyone re-trimmed their door cards on the 6n2's? I took my dad's old leather and suede upholstery from his Dodge (he decided he wanted full leather), and I'm planning on getting them re-upholstered to fit my Polo. But I want to replace the cloth inserts on the doors with leather ones. Any clue on how to do it??
