Bi-Xenon LED headlights

HI Guys,

I have a brand new set of the Polo 6R Bi-Xenon LED headlights still in the box.

I bought my Polo early last year and these lights were not an option on our Polo's in South Africa.

But I really wanted them on my car so I purchased them from VW Germany.

After purchasing I realised that these could not be retrofitted as the control unit on the car needed to be changed.

I know that the Polo's in Europe have the control unit that can accomodate these lights, therefore I am advertising here.

I am looking for GBP650 for the lights if anyone is interested. This excludes postage.

Regards,
Baigo

Why not change the control unit?

You could also try adapters that are made for retrofitting OEM xenons to halogen wired cars.

Because in SA that would cost more than the actual headlights

For this reason exactly.

Seriously?!
Hasn't kunset or kufatec got a 'normal' shipping fee for that?
I mean, if I would order a set of adapters from kunset, than it would cost me about €60,-
I'm sure that to SA it would be more expensive, but for just the adapters to go to a pricing of about a €1000,- is just completely mad

Besides that, I still remember seeing a wiring schedule on how to rewire an 'adapter' (can be made with 2 broken headlamp units and 2 plugs from a donor wiring loom) or your own wiring for that matter. I'll see if I can retrieve that image and than I'll be more than happy to share it ;)

As promised, the rewire scheme:

But it turns out that I had forgoten that this scheme was a rewire of the golf 6 xenon adapters.
Anyway, this is the link to the company Imwas referring to earlier: http://www.kunset.de/products/de/VW-Loe ... 21d3472f9c

Adapters like those can also be found on ebay and my guess is that a set of those adapters could also be send to SA for a quite reasonable price;)

Anyway, hope it helps

It's not the shipping fees it's the taxes we pay on imports that is completely insane

Aah like that! I didn't knew that
Anyway, don't give up hope yet, since there already are people out there who made these adapters by themselves, so you could look into that for an option ;)
But in the end it's all everyones own decision :)
