With a budget of £7k and a baby on the way, I looked and looked eventually seeing one of these at a local VW dealership. Went and viewed one miles away at an independent place in black and was not the kind of condition I was after but had half the miles miles for the same price as the one at the VW dealer..

Decided against it and went back to the dealership to find out some more about theirs and a deal was struck.

Picked it up Wednesday and have loved it so far. Have owned a lot of cars for being only 22 (B18 Honda CRX, Clio 172 cup, R26 Meg) and this one so far seems excellent. My first VW and have to say the build quality is great (yes compared maybe to the french).

So the details...

- 57 Polo GTI 1.8 turbo
- 150bhp
- 59,000 miles
- Full VW service history with cam belt done at 40,000 at 4 years old
- All wheels refurbed by dealership as part of the deal

A couple of quick phone photos to get the ball rolling, will get some better quality ones after a clean soon!!

Current plans:

- Stage 1 map
- Lowered on springs (not sure which yet)
- Honeycomb lower grills
- Centre armrest
- Other little bits: pressed plates, bulbs, maybe some different wheels in a darker colour.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Thanks

Liam.
