Hi, haven't posted in ages.

But i have a few ideas i want to progress with and post pics asap.

Does anyone know if you can fit the new polo 6r heater controls onto a 9n3?

I have had a look and the air recycle button and a/c buttons are different shapes.
But would the actual gubbins part be the same. The part numbers are identical bar the last letter, which i thought differentiates the polo model?
But i am being awkward and want the chrome edged knobs. (like the headlight euro switch)

If any one has any ideas if i can pull them off or if they are sealed units, or any idea at all about them it would be a great help.

If it's the climatronic unit you mean (the automatic one) I believe there's a guide on polo9n.info which suggests you can fit chrome ringed knob s from an Audi A8. Not too sure about the manual controlled one though...

In case anyone wondered. You can fit the polo 6r heater controls onto the 9n3. Did t today, easy mod but looks awesome pics to be added ASAP

Surely the faceplate would be different? Aside from that the only differences I can see are the a/c and recirc buttons and the chrome surrounds on the knobs. Eitherway I look forward to pics

The faceplate is indeed different but when pulled apart slightly the three dials are a one piece.

So as the heater unit is exactly the same take the fascia off and take the three dials off as one piece.
Swap the, round and ............ Please see pics below.

Bought mine off ebay. £15.00 and £5.00 for postage. Breaking a 6r, lucky I got it cheap!
And your only using the dials, So no need to worry about the ac an recycle buttons. Can't believe the photo is blurred too.

They are quite costly, cheaper than vw no doubt. If anyone bought one or decided to do it, would be glad to aid with pics/advice. Getting the dials off was a little tricky.

Does anyone know if just the knob from these heaters fit into the mk4 golf? they roughly look about the same size!
