I had a tyre give up on me in the snow so had to rush the bbs rs771's which I had been planning to fit by swapping the tyres over from my monza's however i stumbled across a nice set of porsche twists so had to buy them only problem is they are very close to the arch.
I know the tyres are too big (225/45/R17) but i am wondering if they will fit with out arch mods if I change the tyres?

They are 7.5J et35
What would people reccomend 195/40/17 or 205/40/17

I'm lowered on H&R's if that helps

And the porsche reps which will also be being stripped and re painted

I had 8x17 ET35 with 205/40 tyres and I'm on ta technix which are all the way down and no scrubbing at all

I'd go with 195/40 because you'll get a mild stretch
